Steadfast makes COO role redundant
Noelene Palmer is no longer Steadfast COO after the role was made redundant, insuranceNEWS.com.au can confirm.
Ms Palmer joined the listed insurance group in July last year as EGM operations and was promoted to COO from July 1 this year, following the departure of predecessor Nigel Fitzgerald.
She has worked in financial services for almost 25 years in Australia, London and Hong Kong, and held senior leadership roles at organisations including IAG, TAL, Swiss Re and KPMG.
Before joining Steadfast she was COO for the financial crime and fraud prevention team at Westpac.
This week, Ms Palmer’s picture and biography disappeared from Steadfast’s web page listing members of the board and executive team.
“As part of the expense management initiatives announced at the AGM in October 2025, Steadfast has undertaken a review of its operating model to ensure the sustainable future of the organisation,” a spokesperson told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
“As part of the changes, the COO role was made redundant effective November 2025 and Steadfast will not be replacing the role.”
