Steadfast buys quick-quoting Insurebot

Steadfast has acquired Brisbane-based Insurebot, which has developed technology that speeds the quoting process for brokers advising domestic clients.

The insurtech, founded in 2020 by Scott Norton and Jack Marrows, can generate quotes for domestic motor, home and contents, landlords and workers’ compensation products.

Steadfast says the platform streamlines time-consuming processes, enabling brokers to deliver quotes and recommendations to clients in minutes, rather than hours.

CEO Robert Kelly says the acquisition aligns with a goal of supporting brokers with cutting-edge tools that enhance efficiency.

“Brokers play a vital role in advising and advocating for domestic clients, however, we know that these policies are time-consuming for brokers to quote,” Mr Kelly said today.

“Insurebot will not only streamline processes for brokers but it will also ensure domestic insurance consumers continue to have access to the support and guidance only brokers can provide.”

Steadfast chief technology officer David Gillespie says Insurebot integrates with the group’s Insight back-office system, assisting administration and record-keeping for policies.

Mr Norton and Mr Marrows will join Steadfast, remaining in Brisbane and reporting to insurtech GM Antonella Shannahan. Mr Norton becomes head of growth for Insurebot and Mr Marrow head of product and technology for Insurebot.

The Insurebot website says in home insurance it can obtain eight quotes in parallel, in an average of eight minutes. It also flags plans to add more products to its range.
