Steadfast agencies review leads to departures

Three Steadfast Underwriting Agencies managers have been made redundant following a review and “realignment” of the business.

Head of market management Chris Quick, national business manager Con Stoitsis and business development manager Con Theodosiou have all posted on LinkedIn about their exits.

“After 14 years and two months, my time at the agencies comes to an end, not by choice,” Mr Quick wrote. “My journey is now taking a new path.”

Mr Stoitsis thanked brokers, partners and clients for their support.

“After 10 incredible years with Steadfast Underwriting Agencies, my role has been made redundant,” he said.

“I’ll be taking a short pause to reset and be ready for the next opportunity to contribute, connect and grow in this great industry.”

Mr Theodosiou, who was with Steadfast for more than eight years, says he takes positives from working with “talented people”.

“Thank you to all who have helped me in my development at Steadfast. I am glad to have worked there and the opportunities it offered,” he said.

Steadfast told insuranceNEWS.com.au the changes are part of “natural progression” following a review.

“In July ... following extensive consultation and review of our underwriting agencies, we made the decision to transition our in-house commercial and consumer retail underwriting agencies into two separate entities over the coming months – each with a clear structure and market focus to continue delivering value and service to their clients,” a spokesperson said.

“As part of this realignment, we made some changes that impacted the market management unit. This is a natural progression of our underwriting agency businesses to scale for continued growth.”
