NTI customer chief takes wheel as boss eyes retirement

Transport and logistics insurer NTI says chief customer officer Janelle Greene will become CEO from July 1.

She takes over from Tony Clark, who has held the role for 18 years.

NTI says Mr Clark will continue as MD as he moves towards retirement in the middle of next year.

Ms Greene joined the business in 2015 as GM operations strategic planning and delivery, and took on her current role in 2019, according to her LinkedIn.

She has been “responsible for developing the strategic direction of NTI’s underwriting, customer experience, marketing, business insights, and pricing and portfolio management teams” as chief customer officer, the insurer says.

NTI chair Ellie Comerford says the incoming CEO “has earned the respect and admiration” of her colleagues and others in the insurance and transport industries.

“Janelle brings extensive experience in strategy, project oversight, and cultural and business transformations to the CEO position.”

Ms Greene says she is “excited to be leading an organisation filled with outstanding people ... NTI has so many strengths – our people, our values and purpose, our deep connections with industry – and we will continue to build on them into the future”.

Mr Clark says it has been a privilege to lead NTI.

“Even when we faced tough market conditions, issues within our industries, the pandemic and more, the executive and all NTI people always banded together and found a solution,” he said.

“It’s been an honour to be CEO, and now I wish Janelle all the very best as she takes the organisation forward – it’s in very capable hands.”
