Integra names joint chiefs under succession plan
Integra Insurance Brokers has moved to a dual chief executive model following the retirement of Paul Shand, appointing Jake Van Damme as CEO for broking and Belinda Whelan as CEO of corporate services.
It says the co-CEO model will support continued growth while preserving culture and service, with the pair sharing responsibility for overall leadership and strategic direction while overseeing their areas of responsibility.
Mr Shand has been appointed non-executive chairman of the WA-based broker he has led since 1989.
In February, he was named chairman of broking company Cowden.
“The succession planning and transition to the new management team has been under way for a number of years,” Mr Shand said.
“I am certain that Jake and Belinda will drive the business onto much bigger and better things in the future.”
Ms Whelan joined Integra as finance and administration manager in January last year, and Mr Van Damme has been a director since 2015.
