Insurance News launches tech innovation conference
Tickets are on sale now for Beyond the Buzzwords, a full-day event that breaks down how digital tools are transforming the industry.
The conference in Sydney on July 29 is organised by Insurance News and Insurtech Australia, and supported by gold partners Instanda and Endava.
Keynote speakers include Bizcover CEO Michael Gottlieb, who will explore the issue of agentic customers, and IVAA MD Matthew McHutchison discussing the threat from deepfakes and synthetic fraud.
The audience will then split into smaller groups for a series of more intimate masterclasses, which will enable greater interaction and discussion.
Masterclass sessions already confirmed include quantum computing readiness, managing third-party cyber risk, and accelerating EV adoption.
After lunch, the great tech debate will see teams argue whether tech is the “golden thread” that finally binds promises to delivery, or a “digital wedge” driving us further from the customer.
Debate participants include Simfuni CEO Shaun Quincey, Suncorp technology and business transformation lead Stuart Fisher, and CBN’s broking operations EGM Wendy Foweraker.
“This focused industry event brings together insurance professionals and technology leaders to explore how digital tools are reshaping the way insurance brokers, underwriting agencies and insurers operate – day to day and at scale,” Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox said.
“Rather than future-gazing or broad trend-spotting, the program zeroes in on what’s working now. We hope you’ll join us at what promises to be a very special day.”
Details and tickets are available here, with more sessions and speakers still to be confirmed.
