INsight podcast: NSW reignites strata commissions debate
The NSW government's inquiry into the impact of banning strata managers from accepting insurance commissions is the main topic debated on the latest Insurance News podcast.
As previously reported, the state's Productivity and Equality Commission will consider whether prohibiting managing agent commissions will lead to better value for money, higher-quality services, lower costs and simpler arrangements, while also looking at impacts on business models and competition.
This week’s edition of INsight, hosted by Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox, features editor-in-chief John Deex, deputy editor Wendy Pugh and senior journalists Bernice Han and Miranda Maxwell.
Also discussed by the panel are the life insurers' code review, Aon's warning on the short-lived soft market, and Insurance News' recent technology conference.
