Among heavy hitters at the Curium Risk and Compliance Summit this week will be Ukrainian diplomat Vasyl Myroshnychenko and Swiss Re chief risk officer Richard Foda.

Leaders from CBN, AUB Group, Insurance Advisernet, Hannover Re and Envest Group will also feature.

Mr Myroshnychenko, Ukraine’s ambassador to Australia and New Zealand, will present a keynote speech titled Risk and Resilience in Real Time: Lessons From Ukraine. 

Curium says he will share powerful reflections on leadership and resilience in the face of extreme uncertainty, and what business, risk and compliance leaders can learn about preparedness, adaptability and decision-making. 

The event on Thursday will bring compliance, legal, risk and claims professionals together to “spark new conversations, challenge outdated models, and shape the next chapter of trust and transparency in insurance”, according to compliance specialist Curium. 

CEO and co-founder Tetiana George, originally from Ukraine, says the speakers are “not only thought leaders but deep practitioners – people who have been in the trenches and can share the realities of risk and compliance”.  

The conference – From Red Tape to Value – will end with a panel titled What Will Matter Most in 2026?

Mr Foda and CBN’s EGM of broking operations Wendy Foweraker will explore the role of government in insurance, whether climate risk is underpriced, tackling geopolitical fragmentation, building trust as customer expectations soar, disinformation/deepfakes and the next wave of digital, and ageing populations and social change.
