Crawford Australia President to retire at year-end

Crawford & Company Australia President Tim Jarman will retire at the end of December, following a four-decade insurance career.

Mr Jarman joined loss adjuster Crawford Australia as its COO in 2008 and became president in 2019.

His career as a claims handler began at Norwich Union in Brighton, England, while he also spent time with a British insurance company specialising in employer and public liability claims. He became a qualified loss adjuster in 1994.

“Tim has made a significant contribution to Crawford in Australia and perhaps one of his greatest leadership moments was steering the business through the devastating Australian floods in 2022,” International Operations CEO Andrew Bart said today.

“I want to thank Tim for his immense contribution to Crawford & Company and wish him every success in his retirement.”

An executive recruitment search is underway to find a successor, with Crawford intending to look both inside and outside the company.

Mr Jarman says it has been a privilege to work for the company for the past 15 years and he looks forward to following Crawford Australia’s continued success from the sidelines next year and beyond.

“The timing is right to start my next chapter that is retirement,” he said. “In collaboration with the great leadership team within the Australian business, I am very proud of where we’ve taken the business during my years as president.”
