Coalition names business development lead in state shift
Cyber specialist Coalition Australia has appointed Connor McKay as business development head.
Australia GM Sam Weaver says the move comes as the insurer shifts towards a state distribution model that aims to enhance its services and market reach.
“Our stronger local presence means we can truly understand and meet the unique needs of each local Australian market,” Mr Weaver said.
“We’re incredibly proud of our team that offers complete support, and with Connor leading the way, I’m excited to continue boosting cyber resilience for Australian organisations through our Active Insurance solutions.”
Mr Weaver says the insurer secured more than 1000 new policyholders last quarter.
Mr McKay, who was previously national development manager, has been with Coalition since its launch in Australia in 2023.
“I’m really excited to step into this role and help drive Coalition’s next phase of growth,” he said. “We’ve built such a strong foundation since launching in Australia, now serving more than 5000 customers and working with more than 1000 quoting brokers.”
Coalition, founded in San Francisco in 2018, also has operations in Canada and the UK.
