Matthew Dick has become Chubb head of claims for Australia and New Zealand, taking over from Michael Babington, who has taken a similar role in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Mr Dick was previously Asia-Pacific casualty, financial lines and multinational claims manager, based in Sydney, according to his LinkedIn.

He joined Chubb in 2007 and has held specialty claims leadership roles in Britain and the Asia-Pacific region.

Chubb says Mr Dick brings “a wealth of experience in complex exposures and major losses. In his new role, [he] will lead the [Australia and New Zealand] claims function and teams, focusing on strategy, service, operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.”

Mr Babington will start his new role on November 1. He became head of claims for Australia and New Zealand in 2022 after serving as casualty and financial lines claims manager for the markets.
