Buzz grows around tech conference as last tickets snapped up
Tickets for Insurance News’ Beyond the Buzzwords conference in Sydney next Wednesday have sold out.
This year, a new format for the event includes roundtable masterclasses, during which the audience will split into smaller groups for greater interaction and discussion.
Event gold partner Instanda will host a session exploring how modern platforms, data and connected systems can improve long-term growth, and fellow gold partner Endava will examine how insurers can balance innovation with governance, and share use cases showing how AI is solving business challenges.
In another masterclass, the Actuaries Institute’s Anthony Lowe will discuss why leading insurers are migrating to “quantum-resistant” cryptography to protect sensitive client data for the next 20 years.
Also featured are WTW’s Benjamin Di Marco, tackling the topic of aggregation risk, and a session on electric vehicle adoption with Taylor Fry’s Tom Moulder and Tesla’s Paul Sofronoff.
In other sessions at the conference – hosted in partnership with Insurtech Australia – Bizcover will discuss agentic customers, IVAA MD Matthew McHutchison will explain deepfakes and synthetic fraud, and a debate will ask whether tech is the “golden thread” or a “digital wedge” driving us further from the customer.
Debate participants include Simfuni CEO Shaun Quincey, Suncorp technology lead Stuart Fisher and CBN’s broking operations EGM Wendy Foweraker.
Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox said: “Rather than future-gazing or broad trend-spotting, the program zeroes in on what’s working now.”
