Agile Insurance Group says its Lloyd’s Syndicate 2427 active underwriter Mark Hunt has become group chief underwriting officer.

Mr Hunt will oversee all underwriting activity including the syndicate, its service companies and managing general agency operations across Australia, London and New Zealand.

He has been active underwriter at Syndicate 2427 since its launch in 2024.

Mr Hunt’s appointment is one of three promotions announced today by the Australian agency.

David Hughes, previously Syndicate 2427 deputy active underwriter, will fill the position Mr Hunt has left.

Group head of aviation Mike Dalton will take on an additional role as Australian underwriting head to support Mr Hunt and Mr Hughes in managing the local teams.

CEO Robin Barham said: “These promotions demonstrate the depth of talent we have in the team and provide team members the freedom to develop a broader vision.

“I’ve known each of them from different areas of the industry for more than 20 years, so I couldn’t be prouder to have all their talents working together to lead the underwriting business.”
