QBE Insurance Group chair Mike Wilkins will retire at the annual general meeting next May after six years in the role and a decade on the board.

He will be succeeded by Yasmin Allen, who became a director in July 2022. She has experience across sectors including insurance, energy, healthcare and technology.

“Mike has guided QBE through significant transformation, strengthened governance and championed our purpose of enabling a resilient future,” Ms Allen said today.

“His deep industry expertise and unwavering commitment to performance and culture have left a lasting legacy.

“We are grateful for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.”

Mr Wilkins, who led IAG for seven years until 2015, says it has been a privilege to serve on the board.
