Christine Bell is to take the role of Country Head Australia & New Zealand at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, ending an executive recruitment search that began in February.

Sydney-based Ms Bell, who has been Chubb’s State Manager NSW/ACT since early 2019, starts the new role in August. She succeeds Melanie Slack who is now based in London heading UK, Ireland, SA & EMEA Wholesale.

Ms Bell has worked in insurance for more than three decades and formerly spent 11 years at QBE and five at Vero. She will oversee Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ commercial insurance market strategy in Australia and New Zealand and becomes a member of the Asia Pacific executive team.

Established in 2007, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions offers commercial insurance solutions, including property, liability, financial lines, and construction insurance policies and products to the Australian and New Zealand Markets, as well as Innovative Risk Solutions, such as parametric insurance.
