Entrepreneur and TV personality Nick Bell has posted a wanted ad seeking a Melbourne-based insurance broker partner for a new venture.

The Shark Tank judge, who has founded and sold many businesses, says he is looking for a partner to help build a $200 million brokerage in four years.

“I don’t care if you’re 25 or 45. I care about your hunger, ability and ambition. You don’t need someone to motivate you. You’re already obsessed with winning,” a LinkedIn post says. “An ambitious commercial insurance broker ... Someone polished, articulate, commercially sharp and ridiculously driven. Someone who is already outperforming their peers but knows they’re capable of much more.”

Mr Bell says he will fund all capital, technology and marketing, and has the resources to scale aggressively.

Candidates need strong commercial insurance broking experience, the ability to recruit and lead a broking team, presentation and communication skills, the ability to win clients and build relationships, an entrepreneurial mindset, an “obsession with success”, and “relentless drive, energy and ambition”.

Mr Bell told insuranceNEWS.com.au he is aiming for a December launch but declined to comment further at this stage.

One broker said they understand that dozens of industry professionals have already made contact with the entrepreneur.

"There's no doubt it has sparked a lot of interest," the broker told insuranceNEWS.com.au. "A $200 million brokerage in four years is going some, and many will want to know if it's for real and how he plans to achieve it."
