SafetyCulture Care, Allianz agree eight-year deal

Allianz Australia has signed an eight-year agreement to continue underwriting insurance through agency SafetyCulture Care, which focuses on using technology to reduce risks.

“Over the past two years, they’ve demonstrated that it’s possible to drive better outcomes for brokers, businesses and insurers by embedding risk management at the core,” Allianz GM agencies Alison Brough said. “This isn’t business as usual. It’s a new blueprint for how insurance can help businesses thrive, and we believe an eight-year term signals our commitment to that vision.”

SafetyCulture Care began in 2023 with capacity provided by Allianz. Its offering, sold through brokers, is aimed at SMEs.

It says the renewal is a milestone for the company, which blends traditional insurance with tech-led risk management.

“This partnership has always been about more than capacity – it’s about collaboration, innovation and a shared belief that technology can help support people to run a better, safer business,” the insurtech’s GM Dan Cummins said.

“Allianz’s long-term commitment gives us the certainty to continue investing in the future of this model, expand our impact and keep raising the bar for what business insurance can be.”

SafetyCulture Care says its technology produces insights to help businesses prevent incidents and be rewarded as a result.
