The niche medical insurer’s long-term issuer credit rating is affirmed as bbb, also “good”.

The outlook for both ratings is stable, reflecting NZMII’s balance sheet strength, an adequate operating performance, limited business profile and appropriate enterprise risk management.

AM Best assesses the insurer’s business profile as limited because it is a small, niche insurer providing medical indemnity cover to health professionals in New Zealand.
