Stewart Insurance Group in Melbourne has entered a joint venture called McLardy McShane Stewart.

The brokerage, founded by Michael Stewart, has been a corporate authorised representative of McLardy McShane for almost a decade.

Mr Stewart will continue to lead the business, based in the suburb of Brighton.

“We’re excited to move forward under the McLardy McShane Stewart name and to build a reputation as the ‘go-to’ broker,” he said. 

“Personal service is something my team of 18-plus staff and I strive for every day. With a growing focus on the Mornington Peninsula, we aim to be a company that truly understands and supports the local community.”

Mr Stewart started his career with his father at Stewart Haig Insurance Brokers in 1999 and later worked alongside McLardy McShane director and co-founder Mike McShane at Kenyon Insurance Brokers.  

Earlier this year, McLardy McShane opened its first Queensland joint venture after acquiring former AR Dixon Insurance Services. It also opened a branch in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.
