Market Lane shakes up leadership roles

Market Lane Insurance Group MD David Porteous will become group CEO as the leadership structure is tweaked to better align with operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Porteous has held the MD role since joining in March 2018 from Brooklyn Underwriting.

The position will now be divided between Toby Salmon, who will also be deputy CEO; Shane Golding, who is now group casualty head; and group engagement and strategy head Matthew Porteous.

Jeanene Hill is promoted to group COO, Michael Atkinson becomes group CFO, and Antonia Topic serves as group chief claims officer.

The property team will have Anand Narayanan as group underwriting manager, and Neil Davidson and Joanna Hayes will take senior property roles at Market Lane’s underwriting agency The Barn.

“These appointments reflect the continued growth and development of our business, as well as the strength of the leaders guiding our specialist underwriting agency,” Market Lane said.

“As we evolve, our focus remains firmly on supporting our broker partners with responsive underwriting expertise, strong relationships and tailored solutions across the industries we serve.”
