Chubb finds NZ leader

Chubb has filled its New Zealand country president position, appointing Jon Longmore after Ben Carey had taken the role on an interim basis.

Mr Longmore has worked at Chubb for 15 years, holding positions in Australia and Singapore before he became country president for Indonesia in 2020 and country president of Malaysia in 2024.

He will be based in Auckland, leading the NZ general insurance business including commercial property and casualty, personal lines, and accident and health.

Mr Longmore will report to Chris Colahan, who is acting country president for Australia and New Zealand after Ben Howell left that position in April.

Mr Carey – who stepped in to the NZ role last December – will now continue as head of operations and field distribution for Asia-Pacific, based in Sydney.
