Battleface partners with insurance.com.au on travel cover

Travel insurer Battleface says customers of insurance.com.au, which is part of Steadfast Group, will be able to seamlessly customise their cover under a new partnership.

Last May, Battleface launched its platform in Australia with a promise of flexible travel insurance that “turns the archaic model of one size fits all on its head”.

“We’re excited to extend our modular insurance products to insurance.com.au customers, providing them with the peace of mind they deserve during their travels,” said Battleface MD Australia Matt McLellan, who was formerly Chubb head of travel ANZ.

“We can ensure exceptional customer experiences and personalised travel insurance solutions.”

Partners build their own products on Battleface’s platform with predetermined rates and benefits, giving customers flexibility. Variable excess levels and bespoke benefit limits are available.

Standard cover from Battleface includes protection against trip cancellation of up to $40,000 per person and personal liability insurance of $2.5 million, plus unlimited medical. Customers also have access to 24/7 emergency medical, travel, claims and customer service teams.

insurance.com.au CEO Dominique Requin says Battleface takes an “innovative, forward-thinking approach to insurance”.

“Our partnership with Battleface is all about innovation and delivering highly flexible travel insurance with a focus on ease and efficiency. Customers can easily customise their insurance coverage to meet their specific needs.”

US-based Battleface is available in more than 185 countries, and has partnerships in Australia with Stella Insurance, Click & Trip, Wise & Silent, AWAI and Mustard Underwriting.
