Axa XL says Thomas Gotting has become chief client and distribution officer for Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region as well as Europe.

Dr Gotting, who is based in Cologne, Germany, will continue as head of distribution for that market on an interim basis until a replacement is found.

“In his new role, [he] will lead Axa XL’s client and distribution strategy for Europe, Asia and Australia, working closely with local client and distribution teams,” the insurer said.

Asia-Pacific and Europe CEO Xavier Veyry says the insurer sees “opportunities for profitable growth across Europe, Asia and Australia … Thomas’s appointment will help us deepen our relationships with clients and brokers and bring [our] expertise to more businesses across the region.”
