Ben Jones has been appointed Aon Asia-Pacific COO, based in Singapore.

He replaces Jeff Plein, who held the role – which includes Australia and New Zealand – since September 2023 and left several months ago.

Mr Jones has been Manulife chief transformation and operations officer for five years.  

“Ben will be partnering with our regional and global teams to strengthen our operating model, support growth and deliver exceptional experiences for clients and colleagues across the region,” Aon said. 

“With deep expertise in operational leadership and transformation, Ben is ready to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions.” 

Mr Jones has held senior roles at Allianz in Sydney, Bangkok, Singapore and Munich, and was once IAG head of transitions. 

That followed more than seven years at AIG, including as manager for operations and systems in Australasia, based in Sydney.
