Advisr crowns 2023 broker award winners

Advisr, an independent website designed to connect brokers and clients, has announced this year’s winners in its insurance broker awards.

The awards, now in their fifth year, celebrate brokers and brokerages who are showing the industry how to “build trust” online.

Top Small Brokerage was won by Clear Insurance, and Top Large Brokerage by Interlink Insurance Brokers.

Top Authorised Representative Network went to Community Broker Network and Brisbane-based Priority Insurance Brokers Director Daniel Ufer won both People’s Choice and Top Thought Leader.

Top Australian Insurance Broker was Abbie Wilson from National Insurance Brokers, Top Specialist Insurance Broker or AR was won by Insurance HQ Principal Adam Pile, and Fast Starter went to Broad Risk Insurance Brokers MD Warren Reid.

In the Top Insurance Broker or AR by state category, Tank Insurance Founder Marel Pencev won in NSW/ACT and Crucial Insurance and Risk Advisors MD Tony Venning won in Queensland.

Grace Insurance State Manager Aimee Henderson won in WA, Infosure Insurance Director Andrew Brett won in SA/NT, and National Insurance Brokers’ Ms Wilson won in Victoria.

Advisr says the standard of online content from insurance brokers in 2023 has “really lifted” and the winners are leaders in innovative and accessible communications and "a model to hold up as a standard for brokers of today”.

Advisr says with contributions via TikTok, social media, email, industry press or other innovative means, these brokers, ARs and businesses are making customer-focused information about insurance easily available to Australian businesses.

The winners filmed videos, wrote articles, created podcasts, added insightful commentary to online discussion and have been reviewed by customers.

“Today's winners are those that push the boundaries...and generously share of their deep expertise in a way that is accessible and authentic.”

The People's Choice category is decided by popular vote, while the other awards were judged sharing of expertise through articles, social posts, videos, podcasts, online presence and profiles, and testimonials on Advisr, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn and elsewhere.

Advisr says the 2023 finalists all make an effort to get alongside businesses via online channels by creating and sharing insightful content, building customer reviews, and maintaining a professional and active online profile.
