MetLife working to ‘remove friction’
MetLife is striving to address the underinsurance challenge facing Australia, according to president and CEO Michel Khalaf.
He says the global insurer is simplifying and digitising the insurance process; improving claims and underwriting; and giving customers and their families access to its 360Health program.
“Underinsurance remains a significant challenge in Australia, leaving many families vulnerable in times of crisis,” Mr Khalaf said.
“We have always believed insurance should be accessible, easy to understand and bring value to our customers. We are dedicated to making life insurance work harder for Australians by removing friction and adding choice.”
Mr Khalaf was in Australia recently to celebrate the insurer’s 20th year here. MetLife says it has more than 2.5 million customers and has paid $6.8 billion in claims since setting up here.
