MetLife hails menopause support service

About 77% of customers who have used MetLife’s menopause support service say it has helped them stay engaged in their professional and personal lives, according to the life insurer.

The service, part of MetLife’s 360Health program, allows digital consultations with specialists on matters such as symptom management and accessing medical help.

MetLife Australia chief customer and marketing officer Lina Saliba says the program aims to improve “workforce confidence” and financial outcomes for people in perimenopause and menopause.

“Menopause support is a critical offering for a largely overlooked condition that affects every woman,” she said. “It is often uncomfortable, and for some it is debilitating.

“We are proud that through this service, and others in our full suite of 360Health services, we can help people feel more confident in life and at work.”

The insurer says its research shows one in three women suffer earnings decline due to the impact of menopause.
