Zurich puts travel, motor policy details ‘at customer’s fingertips’

Zurich has introduced digital policy cards and travel alerts for customers across Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Policyholders will have secure, convenient access to critical motor and travel insurance information, and to safety tips when travelling.

Asia-Pacific head of customer and digital Roopa Malhotra says the changes put policy information and emergency support “at customer’s fingertips, giving them greater control and confidence.

“This delivers real value to our distribution partners, which include some of Asia’s leading travel and automotive brands, enabling them to offer tailored, real-time support that sets a new benchmark for customer experience in insurance.”

The digital policy cards integrate with Google and Apple wallets, helping customers access policy details, emergency contact information, and services such as secure portals and claims forms.

Customers can also share policy details via QR codes and hyperlinks on the cards, which will in future deliver real-time information including claims progress, policy changes and renewal reminders.

The travel alerts arrive by email, with no need to download an app. Information includes pre-travel safety intelligence, immediate alerts if conditions change, and a safety focus for specific cohorts such as solo and female travellers.

Zurich plans to expand the tools across the Asia-Pacific region in coming months via direct-to-consumer and partner channels.
