Lloyd's unveils #SpeakUp culture campaign

Lloyd’s has initiated a new campaign to counter unacceptable behaviour in the market and accelerate a culture of integrity, respect and inclusion across its market.

The #SpeakUp campaign, which aims to empower individuals to act and intervene when they witness unacceptable behaviour, is one of a range of measures being undertaken after Lloyd’s Annual Cultural Survey found 38% of respondents did not know who to raise their concerns with and only 45% felt comfortable enough to raise a concern.

“You will be heard, you will be supported, and we will act, because no matter what form it takes, harassment is never acceptable,” Lloyd’s CEO John Neal said.

He says Lloyd’s leadership is fully committed to transforming the culture with shared values that will shape the behaviour, choices and actions of everyone in the marketplace, and that “everyone has a role to play”.

Advertisements, banners and posters will feature prominently within the Lloyd’s building in London as part of the campaign, together with easily accessible guides, online information at Lloyds.com/speakup and a 24/7 telephone advice line.
