Suncorp has signed a five-year sponsorship deal to be Netball Australia’s principal partner.

It gives the company naming rights to the National Netball League and a major partnership in the national team, the Diamonds.

The group will also support Netball Australia’s program for girls as young as five, called Suncorp NetSetGO.

CEO and MD Michael Cameron says Suncorp is proud to support players who are “wonderful role models” for younger generations. “From community participation to elite competition, we are committed to supporting women to pursue their ambitions,” he said.

Netball Australia CEO Kate Palmer says the Suncorp partnership reflects the value of women’s sport.

Next year 80 athletes competing in the National Netball League will share a pool of $5.4 million, making them the highest-paid female athletes in any Australian sport.
