Gallagher scores soccer sponsorship deal

Arthur J Gallagher has announced a three-year sponsorship deal with Football Federation Australia (FFA) to promote soccer at grassroots and community levels.

“The opportunity to partner with FFA and take a more active role beyond managing its insurance program is an exciting opportunity for us,” Gallagher Sports Practice Leader Steve van Leeuwen said.

“Our long-term ambition is to be the leading insurance and risk adviser to Australian sports, and this sponsorship takes our vision to the next level.”

Gallagher was appointed FFA’s insurance broker in 2012 and will continue providing insurance and risk management advice throughout the sponsorship.

FFA CEO David Gallop says the sponsorship “brings a new dimension” to the governing body’s relationship with Gallagher.

“Its investment, along with its peer group sponsors, helps us to grow the passion and participation in football in Australia and the various FFA league competitions,” he said.
