OnePath enhances adviser portal

ANZ says changes to its OnePath life insurance adviser portal will speed the claims process and improve monitoring of progress.

An online form lodged through the OneView Life portal can alert ANZ to a client’s intention to lodge a claim, while capturing information so the process can start quickly.

The status of claims and payment histories can be easily monitored and advisers have direct access to data provider Unified Healthcare Group, allowing the status of OneCare medical advice requests to be viewed in one place.

“It’s really about working in partnership with the client, the adviser and the insurance provider to get a timely and appropriate outcome for the client,” ANZ Wealth Head of Life Insurance Gerard Kerr said.

The group will make further enhancements over the next year to give advisers more control and certainty, he says.

OnePath paid more than $930 million on more than 12,000 life insurance claims last year, with an average payout of $401,784.
