Konekt acquisitions drive SA expansion

Workplace healthcare provider Konekt is to acquire two SA-based businesses, to grow its presence in the state.

The combined operations of Applied Innovative Services and Innovative Training & Recruitment, and Insite Injury Management Group will provide Konekt with the resources to become the state’s dominant player.

“We see that customers will benefit from having a much stronger Konekt,” CEO Damian Banks told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

He has declined to reveal the acquisition prices, citing confidentiality clauses in both deals, but expects to complete the transactions within six weeks.

The acquired companies are significant providers to the ReturnToWorkSA workers’ compensation scheme.

They also have operations in NSW, NT and the ACT, and will strengthen Konekt’s presence in these regions.

“Customers are demanding us to be in more locations and… to service their needs,” Mr Banks said.

“These proposed acquisitions gives us an extra five locations to service customers.”

Konekt is the largest private sector provider of organisational health and risk management services, with more than 300 staff and 34 offices around the country.

It earned a net profit of $1.5 million and revenue of $35.1 million in the year to June 30.
