iSelect opens kiosks to attract new customers

iSelect will open kiosks in major shopping centres across the country from December, to raise its profile and attract new customers.

The comparator currently provides services solely online.

MD and CEO Scott Wilson says iSelect is following companies such as YouTube and Amazon in supplementing its online presence with kiosks and pop-ups.

“We believe kiosks present an efficient and effective way to attract new customers, while lowering our digital acquisition costs,” he said.

iSelect aims to become a “one-stop-shop” for insurance, utilities and personal finance needs.

Kiosks will open in Brisbane, Adelaide, the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne, and will feature high-end designs and fitouts.

They will sell iSelect’s suite of products, plus US tech company Nest’s connected home devices.

iSelect has signed a multi-year agreement with Nest as its exclusive partner in Australia.

The comparator recently expanded its general insurance product offering to include travel and pet cover, along with car and home and contents.
