XL Catlin has recruited AIG Shelley Devane as Head of Crisis Management in Australia. She was previously Australian national manager for crisis management at AIG, and has more than 15 years’ industry experience.

The appointment follows the move of crisis management specialists Steve Ward and Hamish McKay from XL Catlin to Talbot last month.

“We have strengthened our team… in line with the increasing demand for crisis management solutions,” Underwriting Manager Crisis Management for Asia-Pacific David Guest said.

Last month XL Catlin also added Lisa Hiscock from Aon Benfield to the team as Crisis Management Underwriter.

Ms Hiscock was previously a war, terrorism and political violence underwriter in London with Hiscox.

Des Partridge, who joined Catlin’s Sydney operation in 2010, is the other member of Ms Devane’s team.
