World’s actuaries discuss role of insurance in planning

The role of insurance in planning for the future will be among the topics when actuaries from across the world meet in Sydney next month.

The International Actuarial Association (IAA) meeting will discuss interest rates and inflation in property and casualty insurance, Big Data, capital management and the implications for insurers of behavioural biases in underwriting.

The meeting from August 23-27 – which usually occurs in Europe – brings together IAA groups that focus on non-life insurance, financial risk and enterprise risk management, plus the International Association of Consulting Actuaries.
