Tower board appoints ex-Kraft exec

New Zealand insurer Tower has appointed former Kraft Foods head Rebecca Dee-Bradbury as an independent non-executive director, based in Melbourne.

Chairman Michael Stiassny says her marketing experience and track record in transformational leadership will bring “a new dimension” to the board.

“Tower’s vision is to deliver attractive shareholder returns by growing a general insurance business that is a leading light in New Zealand and the Pacific,” he said.

“The board has a very clear focus and a mix of directors with the experience, skills and competencies that will allow us to successfully lead the business forward.”

From 2010 until February, Ms Dee-Bradbury was Asia-Pacific CEO of developed markets for Mondelez International, formerly Kraft Foods.

She is also a director of BlueScope Steel and Tyro Payments.
