NTI works up a sweat for MND fundraiser

National Transport Insurance (NTI) workers have gone all out to support the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Me Foundation.

CEO Tony Clark participated in the Goodwill Bridge Swing on Friday, leaping out over the Brisbane River to raise funds.

And his employees have raised more than $22,200 taking part in the month-long Great Southern Crossing virtual cycling challenge, covering 5200km on stationary bikes.

NTI is backing MND research as a show of support for former CEO Wayne Patterson, who has the incurable illness.

“Wayne was a key part of the organisation,” Mr Clark told insuranceNEWS.com.au. “He has just been blown away by what we have done.

“It was important that we have a cause to support as an organisation.”

Mr Clark says his participation in the Goodwill Bridge Swing raised about $5500, exceeding his $2000 target. “A lot of people in the insurance industry are generous,” he said.
