NSW practice wins Resilium award

Suncorp advisory business Resilium has presented its Fire Helmet Award to Joe Carrigan from Central Coast-based Reflective Insurance Services.

The award, recognising the practice with the greatest premium growth last financial year, was presented at Resilium’s adviser conference.

Cori-Leigh Shepherdson from CSG Insurance Services won the inaugural Resilium insurance broking practice of the year category.

“Insurance advisers have to build a reputation for providing quality, expert advice to their customers in order for their businesses to succeed,” Resilium MD Adrian Kitchin said.

The theme of the conference – held on the Gold Coast from August 29 to September 1 – was “go for growth”.

“Advisers can’t accept a static or low-growth practice any more, especially when competition is so fierce,” Mr Kitchin said.

Speakers included former Victorian premier Jeff Kennett, restaurateur Pauline Nguyen, cancer survivor and Australian of the year finalist Michael Crossland, real estate expert John McGrath and motivational speakers Peter Thurin and Matt Church.
