McLardy McShane golf day raises $85,000

The McLardy McShane Fight MND Golf Challenge raised $85,000 for research into motor neurone disease.

The inaugural event took place at the Portsea Golf Club last month, with 120 golfers participating and 200 guests attending a three-course dinner.

Special guests included former AFL footballer and coach Neale Daniher, who has helped lead fundraising efforts since his motor neurone disease diagnosis.

Marketing and advertising expert Russel Howcroft was master of ceremonies for the event, which will return next year on January 11.
