Chubb promotes regional manager to A&H role

Ben Howell has been appointed Head of Accident and Health at Chubb Australia and New Zealand.

He will continue in his role as the insurer’s Global Broker Unit Manager for Victoria for an interim period.

In the new role Mr Howell will report direct to Country President Australia and New Zealand John French, as well as EVP Accident and Health Asia-Pacific Glen Browne.

Over the past 15 years Mr Howell has managed teams and portfolios across Australia and Asia for insurers Allied World, AIG and Ace (now Chubb).

He worked in financial lines for Ace from 2002 to 2005, and rejoined the group in the Victorian-based senior management role last year.

Mr French says Mr Howell has “proven abilities” with portfolio management, process improvement, product development and marketing.

“His passion for the industry, understanding of client needs and ability to implement new ideas has seen him flourish within Chubb.”
