CEO Joan Fitzpatrick says the website “seeks to increase community resilience… by providing the public with relevant information about physical and financial risks in a way that is easy to understand”.

The awards “celebrate emergency management initiatives that improve community safety and resilience”.

Know Risk features a website and apps designed to improve understanding of insurance and everyday risks.

The Resilient Australia Awards are a partnership between the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department and the states and territories.
