Allianz leads way among global insurance brands

Allianz is the world’s leading insurance brand for the third year running, according to the latest Brand Finance Global 500 rankings.

It takes 43rd place on the all-industries list, with a brand valued at $27.8 billion, up 8.1% from the previous year.

“This excellent ranking shows our flagship brand strategy, plus our clear focus on the customer and on digitalisation, are building trust and resonating with our clients around the globe,” Allianz Australia Chief GM Market Management John Myler said.

Apple, Google, Samsung, Amazon and Microsoft take the top five slots.

In the insurance sector Allianz is followed by Axa (61), China Life (82), Ping An (100) and Generali (120).

Zurich (157), AIG (251), Swiss Re (317), Munich Re (365) and Ace (379) also feature.

Australia’s top five brands across all categories are Telstra (110), Woolworths (170), ANZ (177), Commonwealth Bank (186) and Westpac (237).
