Arch Insurance Europe has appointed Matthew Shulman as President and CEO, replacing James Weatherstone, who held the positions since 2008.

Mr Weatherstone oversaw Arch’s purchase of Melbourne-based managing general agent Resource Underwriting Pacific in 2014, and featured in the August/September 2015 edition of Insurance News magazine.

The appointment is effective from July 1, but Mr Weatherstone will remain with the company until December 31 to assist with the transition.

Mr Shulman joined Arch Insurance US in 2009 and currently serves as Executive VP.
