Colleagues mourn senior adjuster’s road death

The staff at national loss adjusting company Technical Assessing are mourning the loss of Victoria State Manager Steve Mann, who was killed on Sunday in a motorcycle accident.

The accident happened at Mirboo North, a town 155km east of Melbourne.

Mr Mann joined Technical Assessing in March last year, taking up not only the management of the company’s Victorian operations but also heading up its property practice.

Technical Assessing MD David Cambridge told insuranceNEWS.com.au Mr Mann was “an incredibly generous person, who would always go the extra mile with teammates and clients”.

“Working closely with him was always a pleasure because of his diligent approach to everything he did.”

Mr Mann worked in the industry for his entire career, getting his start as an executive loss adjuster with GAB Robins, now part of Sedgwick, before joining chartered loss adjuster Robertson.

He later worked for Crawford & Company before moving on to LMI Group, Stream, Cunningham Lindsey and Australian Network Adjusters.

Mr Mann is survived by his wife Janine and children Catherine, Jessica and James.
