CEO poaches former Gallagher colleagues

Two of Gallagher’s senior executives have joined BMS Australia to work for Andrew Godden, their former boss who was appointed CEO of the specialist insurance broker in May.

Stuart Davies, previously Gallagher’s NSW state manager, takes on the title of director at BMS. He will specialise in corporate risks including directors’ and officers’, and will also advise on placements across key emerging risk areas such as cyber, litigation, indemnity and reputational risks.

Mr Davies has 25 years’ experience in the UK and locally, and has held senior roles at Aon and JLT.

And Samantha Ford has joined BMS as corporate broker. She joined Gallagher in 2008 and was most recently its account manger for professional and financial risks, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Mr Godden says his new company is “always looking for the best and the brightest to join our team. [They] are fantastic additions to the team and will form part of our continuing strategic build-out in the region.”
