Zurich reshuffles commercial and global corporate teams

Zurich has made several senior appointments to its small business and mid-market commercial teams and its global corporate team.

Senior marine underwriter Paul Skene has been promoted to Commercial State Manager for Victoria and Tasmania, Jonathan Moss becomes National Partnerships Manager and Lori Messori takes up the new role of Head of Broker Management.

Before joining Zurich last year Mr Skene gained extensive experience as an underwriter with Australis Group, Lumley and Chubb Insurance.

His predecessor in the state manager role, Chris O’Connor, remains with the company, “assisting with the implementation of Zurich’s key national strategies”.

Mr Moss, who joins Zurich’s commercial distribution team in Sydney, was most recently national sales and distribution manager with Finn Foster APB Insurance Brokers. He is best known for his time at Chubb Insurance where he held a range of positions including Manager Sydney Independent Broker Team and Distribution Development Leader.

He will also be known to cricket fans as a former captain of the Victorian Bushrangers, leading the Sheffield Shield-winning team in 2003/04.

Mr Messori, who is based in Sydney, was previously Zurich’s national broker manager.

Zurich has also announced changes to its global corporate team in Melbourne.

Company veteran David Chester has been appointed Broker Relationship Leader, Lindsay Urquhart joins as a Broker Relationship Leader and Christian Falkingham and Kurt Urquhart become Global Relationship Leaders.
