Steadfast installs former Zurich exec at CHU

Steadfast has appointed former Zurich executive Bobby Lehane as CEO of Corporate Home Underwriting (CHU) Agencies, based in Sydney.

He replaces GM David Hampton, who has worked at CHU since 2011, and will take up the appointment on April 1.

Steadfast acquired CHU from QBE in February.

Mr Lehane previously worked for Zurich Australia, holding various senior insurance roles over seven years. Most recently he was EGM commercial insurance, managing a $1 billion portfolio, and EGM SME.

Steadfast MD and CEO Robert Kelly says Mr Lehane has an impressive record of building high-performance teams, leading transformation, leveraging technology and delivering results. “The appointment of Bobby is key to the ongoing success of CHU.”

CHU started trading in Sydney in 1978 and created the first strata insurance plan in Australia.

It has grown to be a world strata leader, underwriting more than 135,000 schemes across Australia, the US, UAE and the UK.
