CGU-Lumley integration moves closer

CGU has completed the restructure of its Broker Business division, with appointments to the final layer of the integrated CGU and Lumley businesses nearly complete.

EGM Broker Business Donna Walker says the new structure will be in place from Friday.

A CGU spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au about 80% of lower-level positions have now been filled, and the remaining 20% will be completed shortly.

The IAG-owned company has not provided figures on the number of individuals declared redundant in the integration, which follows the purchase of the Lumley operation from Wesfarmers in December 2013.

Ms Walker says the state-based operating model “offers specialty underwriting across all lines, along with a local claims team and relationship managers”.

“CGU will be sharing any individual implications of the latest appointments with our partners in the coming week,” she said.
