Acting CEO wins top job at AGA

Allianz Global Assistance has appointed Craig Dalzell as CEO.

He has been acting in the role since January following the departure of John Myler, who is now Chief Market Manager for Allianz Australia.

Mr Dalzell was Allianz Global Assistance CFO from September 2014, and previously worked as director of advisory services financial management for KPMG. He has 20 years’ experience across multiple industries, including government and health sectors.

As CEO he will focus on product expansion in the Allianz Global Assistance health portfolio, to build a value offering for larger corporate clients.

Mr Dalzell says he will also introduce a range of home and lifestyle products, and build on the 15-year relationship with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

“The health and life-care arm of the business is a growth market for us… and I’ll be continuing to shape its product portfolio to cater to larger business, as well as the small-to-medium clients we already work with,” he said.
